We're looking for a Senior Systems Engineer with deep expertisein embedded systems and firmware development. In this role, you’lldefine system interfaces between low-power devices and cloud infrastructure,lead architectural discussions, and collaborate across hardware, software, andUI teams. You'll also oversee contractors and drive system-level decisions fromconcept to delivery.

What You’ll Do

‍

·      Define and specify communication interfaces between low-power embeddeddevices and cloud platforms

·      Design, develop, and review firmware architectures for efficiency,scalability, and maintainability

·      Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, software, and cloud teamsto ensure seamless integration

·      Produce clear technical documentation including system specificationsand design guidelines

·      Evaluate and manage contractors for hardware development, ensuringquality and timely delivery

·      Lead technical reviews and resolve complex system-level issues

·      Stay current with emerging technologies in embedded and wireless systems

Expected Outcomes (First 3 Months)

‍

·      Take over design and test responsibilities on a high-priority program(by month 1)

·      Begin supporting early-stage off-the-shelf (OTS) andjoint-development-model (JDM) hardware programs (by month 2)

·      Contribute to building more efficient, safer, and sustainable embeddedsystems

Requirements

‍

·      5+ years in embedded systems and firmware development

·      Strong system-level understanding bridging hardware, firmware, andsoftware

·      Experience with wireless and IoT technologies

·      Proven ability to specify and manage contractor deliverables

‍

Nice to Have

‍

·      Experience with ARM-based embedded systems and higher-level softwarestacks

·       Familiarity with LoRaWANand BLE

·      Experience working with battery-powered and resource-constrained devices

·      Awareness of security best practices in embedded firmware

·      Agile development experience

·      Knowledge of compliance and global type approvals (CE, UKCA, FCC, IC,etc.)
